What customers say?

“ What a treat, Leens Fish & Chips food truck serves authentic Dutch kibbeling that instantly brought back great memories of Holland. The fish was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and tender inside, just like I remember. It’s not easy to find real Dutch style kibbeling around here, so this was a special experience. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this truck again! ”

“ Oh, Leens! Thank you for the most delicious matjes haring I've had in years. If you miss Dutch fish or want to try it, I highly recommend Leens. Although I didn't have the fried fish, I'm told (by another happy customer who is Dutch) that the fish is the freshest and lightly battered so it is not exceptionally greasy and the fish to breading ratio is much more reasonable. As for the matjes, you can get it as posted on the menu (in a plate with chopped onion on the side), or ask for a bun for 50 cents more. I wish it was a smaller oval roll so that the soused herring sits fully inside. I'm not the biggest bread person, and I want the star of the dish to be the perfectly salted fish. The mobile truck is in this large lots with lots of parking only every THURSDAY. on Fridays, they're in Norwich, I believe. They got busy in waves, but the wait time when I was there was about 15 minutes. There are picnic tables or takeaway. Be careful, I got gum on my jeans where I sat. No indoor (they have umbrellas for the sun), no toilet, no gluten-free options, or vegetarian ones that I could see. This is a fish truck. ”

“ The Kibbeling cost me $10 after tax and a few min of waiting, but it was fresh and hot! Never before have I had more tartar sauce than I could finish. That alone made this place win my heart. Leens Fish & Chips makes me wish I was in Woodstock more often. ”

“ Fast service and delicious fish and chips, we will be back, OFTEN! The fish was fresh, well cooked, not greasy and delicious. The tartar sauce was a treat and they give you a lot which I love, but on the side. The fries, again so good but no greasy. I cant wait to try each and every dish they offer! ”

“ Had our first taste of Leens fish and chips today. We live in Norwich now so checked out the food truck here. I am super fussy about fish and chips and seldom satisfied. But I will tell you, BEST FISH AND CHIPS EVER !!! So so good, yummo. We had the Kiebeling combo. Check them out, you won't be disappointed. ”

- LYNNE KNOTT -

“ Good value, $20 for haddock, fries, coleslaw and pop. Very friendly servers, good batter to fish ratio (batter was relatively thin and not overpowering ), fries were good, came with ketchup and a garlic dill cream sauce (which I liked, not a huge tartar sauce fan), ketchup. I’ll be back ”

“ WOW! 14.50 FOR THE BEST PICKERAL I'VE EVER HAD! Amazing tarter that I started dipping my fries in! For 6 stars I would say swap the frozen fries for fresh cut. Will definitely return! ”

- Doug Coulter -

“ Best fish and chips I've ever had. I'd say if you're from Woodstock or not it's worth coming into town for. Used to be here Thursdays and Fridays but now only Thursdays. They travel to other cities too on the other days so there might be a more convenient location for you to catch a bite to eat. ”
